I know, I know, it's been awhile. But in lieu of May being Mental Health Awareness month, I figured I would vent a little bit and pick up my writing where I left off. Forgive my absence in advance. I'm a work in progress, focusing on new goals for happier, healthier outcomes. I hope to not sound overzealous, these are just habits that I've learned about myself that may help others as well. Here are a few thoughts I've conjured up to share in my darkest hour:
It is easy to be the recipient of others projected feelings, frustrations, and discomforts. Hurt people, hurt people. Happy and grateful people, encourage and inspire others. Establish a level of confidence that allows you to be accountable for the part you play and understand that others issues are not your own.
Part of the reason RWD stands for individuality, it's a constant reminder to strive for always being your best self. Even when faced with obstacles, sometimes showing up and being present contributes to memorable moments and opportunities you wouldn't want to pass up.
Now, experiences tend to mean more when you get to share them with enjoyable company (get out of your own way my fellow introverts). There's a very close coworker, peer, good friend of mine that gifted me with the phrase "storms make trees take deeper roots..." (That's my reminder to stay focused & firm) What I'm getting at here is, the things that shake you up the most, challenge you to think a little bit, it may be useful to reevaluate some things and focus on what you consider to be important in the midst of adversity.
If it brings you joy, creates good vibes, do more of it. If it costs you your sanity, health and happiness leave it alone or shift gears a little.
IDK it could be sports, travel, friends, family whatever it is, good food, laughs & good times! Sky's the limit, make time for it.
I say this to you and also convincing myself. You are so worth whatever makes you happy, owing no one an explanation. Take all the time you need to heal, and stay firmly focused on who you are, going confidently in the direction of your goals as you continue to deal. Mental health and wellness is not an uncommon subject, seeking help and support is nothing to be afraid of.
At Running World Designs encouraged living means promoting awareness and offering support to navigate through to healthy, cultured outcomes and experiences. There is nothing wrong with making yourself a priority. Growing pains don't last forever, learn from the pressure & Run Your World, undeniably and without regret!.
