Before getting into these hacks, I want to emphasize the importance of IN REAL LIFE: Whether some of us are using this app for enjoyment/inspiration, entertainment, or business purposes there’s only so much experience you can capture on the grid. Behind the scenes is where it’s at and the REALITY is that the people we love and genuinely care about are doing their best just like you. Please continue to support your local makers and creators. Mind you, mental health matters. Remember, connect with brands and content that make you feel seen, heard, and valued. RWD even has a guiding principle of relationship building which details why I feel so truly about these connections offline.

the topic at hand, an intentional week:

STEP 1: LAUNDRY

One thing that helps me gear up for the week is having a clean slate of laundry. It’s not always washed, folded, and put away in a day. To keep it comfy and cute having clean laundry adds time to my daily routine to feel renewed for the day ahead. No email, no networking, and no business operations until I’ve showered, eaten, and dressed. If laundry stacks throughout the week it also makes for a lighter load when you have a second.

STEP 2: MEAL PREP

Nope, no neat and tidy recipe for every day of the week. There’s a fridge full of food and it’s an intentional assist to avoid eating out. Here’s a basic staple pantry complete checklist provided by the food network for some ideas. After breakfast, scroll Pinterest for some ideas and prep for dinner. Boom! One more task attended to. Sunday can be great for a leisure outing to enjoy the family considering weekday schedules are demanding.

STEP 3: CALENDAR SCAN

As an operations manager diligent with a.) writing things down when you think of them and b.) transferring those notes to Google docs or Google calendars when at your desk. What’s clutch is the apps/widgets on your phone that keep tasks at a glance. Before you head to sleep review to see what’s ahead for the week. Prioritizing is a happy place for me - color-coded for me, the kid + biz, plus notifications is heaven-sent. The main goal is to avoid exhaustion and create more moments that are enjoyable. Calendaring isn’t concrete but it adds grace to the schedule. Organizing thoughts out of mind to tangible on paper is purposeful, understanding divine time makes achievement attainable.
