Divine Order + Development

It's been awhile since we checked in. Apologies if I've been neglecting, I pray you're doing well I'm looking forward to reconnecting!

March has been an overwhelm of emotions, to say the least. I sometimes find myself in dark spots, vacant corners of my mind. Where thoughts cannot be organized or contained. Then a bright light in the form of a blessing or a lesson triggers me back to reality.

I've been naming this chapter as my becoming. I am not quite where I want to be, but I love who I am and where I am headed, most importantly far away from where I've been. Part of this cycle consists of heavy reflection and review. A few posts back  Reasons & Seasons seemed to be a trending theme. Highlighting points that if used habitually can produce healthy and encouraging results.

It can be so easy to get consumed with the monotony of everyday life that it takes a step back to see the full picture of what is ahead of you. I totally, catch the phrase "hindsight is 20/20." So let's refresh a bit, shall we?

  • Be aware of your flaws, errors, and mistakes. Translate these experiences into growth and opportunities to create enriching and lively outcomes.
  • Focus on what you are doing right! Sometimes the hardest part is "unlearning" tendencies or "reliving" past situations. Give yourself credit for your positive gains and celebrate personal successes.
  • Devote to development. There is always knowledge to be gained, shared and understood. Stay committed to growing past your comfort zone. Tap into your individual interests by exploring what captivates you the most. (That networking event, kick the introvert bug and attend! That podcast, sync it up on your commute. That blog you like, subscribe! Catch my pitch?)
  • Pace yourself. *Ahem* So, still think you're supposed to have it all figured out? Nope. Progress is a process. Slow progress is better than none at all. Break your larger goals into smaller pieces and do a little bit each day.

What is meant for you will never miss you. Avoid burnout by attempting to do many tasks fast. Limit overcommitting and being present to too many people and nothing to yourself. Instead, seek comfort in deliberately prioritizing yourself health and happiness. Move with a momentum that will achieve long term results. Understand that you are enough, by remaining constant to your authentic self, living your best life and creating rejuvenating experiences your results are limitless.

and in that order.

Divine 29 A day trip to NYC

With another year comes a bit more wisdom. I took another trip to clear my mind. Here's a mini recap for my fellow nomads:

NJ Transit Trenton to NY Penn Station - Round trip $30

Chelsea's Market was really nice. It reminded me of an upscale Reading Terminal with a more hipster, eclectic upbeat vibe. I recommend this for anyone looking to do moderate shopping and a meal. There's plenty of winery-esque dine in spots right in the market. The Artists & Fleas and bookstore were my faves. I tend to get some spots in mind before traveling so there was an awesome Pop up shop also great jewelry grabs.

Yup public trans, my handy dandy chuck taylors and warm attire got the job done for the day. I'll definitely be making my way back soon. Super convenient, I would probably bring my kid next time and there's a few thrift spots I still owe a visit. No telling where in the world I'll be running next! Stay tuned or drop me some mentions, catch up with you soon!
