Message to my Son.

11.2.2017

Choose your battles wisely and always end with peace.  I'll teach you more about that when it's time. There will be plenty of instances throughout life that test your character, try your patience and make you feel other than the king that you are. Remember, it is the moments of adversity that build you up, be sure to learn from it and never let it keep you down.

You have nothing to prove except to be your self. Be honest with your self, stay true to yourself, love yourself, push yourself and exceed any limit placed upon you that is not your own. There is no such thing as fear only faith. There is no can't or try, there is only the action to do!

I get criticism and critiques about my parenting techniques, how hard I am to a child who's only three. But the critically acclaimed, Freddie D. said it best "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men." And to them, you're a child but to me, I see great things. I give you the freedom to go, fulfill your yearning to know and pray you choose the right paths as you grow.

Yes, I know you can't read. Yet I still feel so inclined to share because not only do I teach, you keep me in line. It's not always funny nor is cute. But you're timely reminders help get me through. Like do my best and forget the rest or get what you get and don't get upset. Your thumbs up and thumbs down are truly my favorites, it's the little things you do that make me feel like I've made it. I promise to always show you better than I tell you. And don't you ever forget it!

Love,

Mommy
