Inspire or Impress, always do 'Your Best.'

So, I know it's been a while. But I decided, let us catch up. While this frigid winter day is short and the wind is howling. There are a few things I would like to make us aware of.

First, I want to acknowledge that depression is real and while some may experience it at different levels and handle it in different ways, it exists and we should be patient with ourselves as well as with others, we are all working to figure out this thing called life. I am sharing a link titled 4 Simple Ways to Beat the Holiday Blues.  Nothing too elaborate, just a bit more insight and suggestions.

Now, remember we talked about patterns and reasons things happen. If not, here's the spot to check it out. After a few trials and tribulations wrapping up the end of the year, I've hit a lot of bumps along the way. But, I have so much more to be thankful for. If I could sum it all up since we last spoke; the lessons and blessings would probably narrow down to this:

  • Never miss an opportunity you qualify for or strike down an idea before you try it. Stop talking yourself out of it! The possibility would not present itself if you were not worthy of the moment. What is for you is always for you, don't psych yourself out of life-changing experiences.

  • When you run into barriers, remember it's not that they don't like what you're doing, they don't like that it's YOU doing it. Guess what, do it anyway! Some will catch the vibe, some won't and so what?! Keep it moving. Don't forget to appreciate those who champion your success at any given time. The right partnerships, relationships, and collaborations will surface.

  • Most importantly, you have to be so "glow'd up" meaning radiating to the highest degree, manifesting abundantly and firmly planted in the spaces you take up. So much that people know to miss you with any BS.

I had to define impress a verb meaning to make someone feel admiration or respect. And, inspire another verb, to fill someone with the urge or ability to do or feel something, especially to do something creative; to, create a feeling, especially a positive one in a person.

With these terms in mind, self-respect is very impressive. It sets the precedent for how you allow others to treat you. While you aim to be your best self, establishing boundaries is part of the deal. Be comfortable with the idea that people can take it or leave it, you don't have to settle nor conform. The goal is to inspire by building healthy relationships, flourish on original ideas and awaken creativity for lively experiences. No matter how it goes, strive to always do your best the right people notice in the right ways at the right times. In the coldest of winters be the warmth to fuel another's dream and the light that brightens a loved one's darkness. Sure as nightfalls, push and persevere, sunshine comes in the morning!

Warmest Regards,

Nani J
